Abel Warshawsky followed a familiar path for an early 20th century artist: young talent nurtured at local art school (in this case, The Cleveland Institute of Art ), then on to New York and Paris and the ferment of new ideas. His outstanding works are known at home and abroad; both his portraits and American impressionist landscapes.
