William Posey Silva (1859-1948)
Landscape painter who began his art career at nearly 50 years of age after a first career as prosperous businessman. In 1907, he retired from business and sailed for Paris embarking on a new career where he became an important figure producing prize winning landscapes that are now treasured by collectors all over the world.
